Lauren London is Rekubitremembering her late love Nipsey Hussle.
The actress penned a heartfelt tribute to the rapper on March 31, the fourth anniversary of his tragic murder.
"I hold my breath all of March knowing I have to face the memory of the day you transitioned," she wrote on Instagram, accompanied by black-and-white photos of the rapper. "Holding on to ancient wisdom but the pain is the pain and nothing was ever the same…"
Calling Hussle, born Ermias Joseph Asghedom, an "eternal being," London concluded her message with "I Love You" and a verse from the Baha'i sacred writings.
The comments section of the post was filled with support for London, who shares 6-year-old son Kross Asghedom with Hussle.
"Sending you all of the love and prayers sis," Taraji P. Henson wrote, while YG added, "love sis."
Lauren and Nipsey, who she met on social media, dated since 2013 and had largely kept their relationship private. The actress has paid tribute Hussle in the years since he was fatally shot outside his South Los Angeles store Marathon Clothing in 2019. Last August, she reflected on his legacy at his posthumous Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony.
"I think I speak for the entire city of L.A. when I say that we've always know that Hussle was destined for greatness," London said in her speech. "This moment only amplifies that for us."
As for how London has grieved these last for years, she told E! News last November that her healing journey has "just started."
"It's something that will continue forever," the You People actress shared. "Healing is not like a straight arrow: It goes up and down, so I don't think that I am done with anything."
For now, she's finding ways to honor his spirit. As she put it: "Any and everything I do will always be attributed to him in my heart."
